A young 21 year male patient presented to Charnock Lohia Emergency with altered senses, low BP and fast pulses with complain of severe pain in Right lower abdomen since 1 day which didn’t get relief on taking medicines and injections from local hospital. Due to severity of the condition, the emergency depertment took immediate action under Dr. Diya saha and began resuscitation and intubated and ventilated the patient.

An immediate call was given to the Emergency GI surgeon Dr. Pritam Kundu, in view of Sepsis and some surgical pathology related to appendix and intestine. The surgeon on attending the patient, along with Radiologist Dr. Raktim Mukherjee made an immediate decision to go for Diagnostic Laparoscopy and proceed under high risk. Taking all precautionary measures he did the emergency surgery within 2hours of initial examination. During the surgery, the surgeon found that the patient’s appendix had got heavily infected, extremely inflamed and perforated in the body with pus in the pelvis and right paracolic gutter with local adhesions and guardings.

With extreme precision using modern technologies and skills, Dr Kundu successfully performed the laparoscopic appendectomy saving the rest of the bowel anatomy and all the pus drained. Post operation, he was shifted back to ICU in a ventilator and strong antibiotics and life supports were provided. He then gradually began to respond and started to recover from sepsis, finally extubated. Later he was finally discharged from hospital on his own foot and with a happy charming face on POD 4.
